Saturday February 21, 2009 8:00 PM C & S Delivery Company CD release party at the Box C & S Delivery Company is guitarist Scott Podjan and keyboard player Craig Harris. They are two well known local artists in the Southwest Michigan area. They have both been playing music for over twenty years. The two first met in 1996 while in the band Shadowland, performing all the great’s from the 50’s and 60’s around the tri-state area. It was a fun and memorable run that lasted until 1999. Since then, the two have continued playing music in other bands but had always hoped to work together again. In early 2008, the opportunity finally presented itself. They wanted to put together a small acoustic set and play music that everyone would enjoy while relaxing with friends in the local clubs. "We’ve been playing music that people recognize, but now they have been asking for some of our original material,” said Scott. That led them back to the studio to put together a much anticipated CD that will be available for the first time at the Box Factory. Whenever these two are together, it’s a party! Their musical performance and lively antics always keep a crowd coming around. Scott and Craig will be performing their songs from their CD as well as familiar songs from the 50’s to the present. Although covering popular artists such as James Taylor, Tom Petty, Neil Young and The Moody Blues, be warned, they are partial to the Beatles! For further information see www.myspace.com/csdeliverycompany and hear a few cover tunes they have already recorded. General Admission is $8, Seniors and Students $6, under 12 free with adult. |
Saturday February 28, 2009 8:00 PM B - 4 B4 originally started as a 4pc and then became a 3pc about a year and a half ago. Jim came from the bluegrass group "Wooden-nickel". Ted and I played together in two bands, the first in the 70's named "Shiloh" and the second in the 80's named "Heartland" so we've all been doing this for quite some time. The type of music we play is basically the hit songs mostly from the rock stations with a little country thrown in for a good mix. There's a little of everything in our sets from Jerry and the Pacemakers, Aabama, Alan Jackson, Smokey Robinson to ZZ Top. We're a lot like the Michigan weather, if you don't like what you're hearing right now, just give it a few minutes and it will change. General Admission is $8, Seniors and Students $6, under 12 free with adult. |
